Cable Nets Set Comic-Con Plans

This year’s installment of the annual Comic-Con International event in San Diego is scheduled to begin in two weeks, and networks have begun releasing their schedules of panels, signings and screenings.

Earlier, FX announced it would be debuting the first episode of Archer's forthcoming series in addition to panels for American Horror Story: Freak Show and Sons of Anarchy

Showtime will also be at the convention celebrating the success of its renewed horror series Penny Dreadful with a panel featuring series creator John Logan as well as cast members Josh Hartnett Reeve Carney and Harry Treadway. The panel, which will be moderated by Aisha Tyler, takes place on Thursday, July 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Ballroom 20.

Starz will also be in San Diego to promote Outlander, its new series based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon. The network will debut the series with a panel on Friday, July 25, in anticipation of its Aug. 9 premiere.

Turner networks TNT, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim will also host several panels and screenings. Cartoon Network will also host the third edition of the Adventure Time ConQuest, which sends participants on a treasure hunt throughout the convention center. In addition to panels for shows such as Robot Chicken, Childrens Hospital and Rick and Morty, Adult Swim will debut of their new series Mike Tyson Mysteries.

TNT will couple its panel for The Last Ship with a Friday night party featuring performances from artists MGMT and Grimes aboard the USS Midway at the San Diego Museum.

SyFy will host a panel for its forthcoming Sharknado 2: The Second One film, as well as panels for series such as DominionHelixDefiance and Ascension
