ReelzChannel Appoints Creative Execs

Beck, Chalfant Join 30M Sub, Movie-Centric Service

-- Multichannel News, 9/11/2007 10:46:00 AM

ReelzChannel hired two creative executives, with Jordan Beck as vice president of on-air promotion, and Doug Chalfant as director of creative marketing solutions.

Beck will oversee the day-to-day production in the ReelzChannel on-air promotion department and develop strategies for the launch of new shows, special events and stunts. Beck joins the movie-centric ReelzChannel, which now counts some 30 million subscribers, after serving as writer/producer for the Fox series Hell’s Kitchen.

Prior to that, he wrote and produced for several reality series including Skating with Celebrities and The Swan for Fox; Blow Out for Bravo and Kept for VH1. Beck returns to ReelzChannel after helping to launch the network last fall.

Chalfant will direct cross-platform, branded entertainment and specialized sales-support initiatives for the network’s ad sales department, to effectively marry advertiser’s brands to the magic and excitement of movies.  He will lead the creative development and execution of integrated brand partnerships with ReelzChannel clients.

He previously served as editorial director for E! Entertainment Television, where he was responsible for the creative direction of all E! on-air promotion and marketing solutions projects.
