Turner Names VP of Media Currency

Susan Nathan to Analyze Media Planning and Buying

Turner Broadcasting System appointed research veteran Susan Nathan vice president of media currency.

Nathan, who will report to executive vice president of market strategy Barry Fischer, will be based in New York. 

In her new role, Nathan will track and analyze the impact of changes in the planning and buying currencies in the advertising marketplace, as well as collaborate with Turner Research on key internal and industry research and audience measurement initiatives.

Since 1991, Nathan served as the senior vice president, director of media knowledge at Universal McCann/McCann Erickson. Previously, she spent 10 years at a variety of ad agencies in various research capacities. Nathan’s career began at A.C. Nielsen and reached the level of account group manager. 

In addition, Nathan has served as chairperson for a number of industry associations, including the 4A’s Media Research Committee, the Agency Media Research Council and the Media Ratings Council.
